Border Collie Luci is the winner of the 2025 SuperDog of the Year competition!

With 60 entries from studios across the UK, Luci’s image came out on top and was popular with the public, photographer, owners and sponsor judging panels. She claims the title of SuperDog of the Year, plus £1000 for her owner!

Luci’s image was captured by Julie Ware, Studio Manager of Barrett & Coe Basildon. She joined in 2024 and has achieved success in our competition with 6 winning images and 5 top-10 finalist images, and now her first winning image in our annual competition.

Commenting on the studio’s success, Julie told us:

I am thrilled to have my image chosen as SuperDog of the Year. I love the fun, and sometimes chaos (!) dogs bring to the studio when they come for their photography session. Luci was an absolute pleasure to photograph.

The love and training Rebecca and Xavier give Luci shone through in the photos and made my job easy. I couldn’t be happier for them to receive the grand title, SuperDog of the Year and the £1000 prize. I am looking forward to capturing many more beautiful dog portraits in the future!
