Photographer Excellence Award Winners – Grahame and Allison Smith
Congratulations to Grahame and Allison Smith of GWS Photography who have been chosen as winners of the latest SuperDog Photographer Excellence Awards!
The awards were formed to recognise the quality of photography among our Approved and Recommended studios and are judged by a representative of our charity partner Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Three of Graham and Allison’s entries were selected for their excellence in the latest SuperDog of the Month competition and, as winners, they receive £50 and a winners certificate.
We caught up with them to get their reaction on winning: “We love our pet photography – and adore spending time with everyone’s doggies. It’s owners that tell us “our dog won’t sit still for a picture” that gives us the biggest reward, but we love them all. We make new friends with every portrait – sometimes with the humans too”.
Grahame and Allison work together on every shoot, ensuring that everyone they meet is given the greatest care and attention. Grahame started off shooting bands and weddings back in the 80s and opened up GWS photography in 2010.
Since then, the team has won numerous awards including 2022 Scottish Pet Photographer of the Year and 2021 Portrait Photographer of the Year Scottish Master Photographers.
Situated a short drive from Edinburgh, the studio is the perfect choice for families who want to get away from the noise of the city for a relaxed and fun photoshoot. The rural studio has free and easy parking and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Congratulations from everyone at SuperDog to Grahame and Allison!
