Winning Image for Truffle and Richard Shymansky

Congratulations to Richard Shymansky Photography, who has achieved his first winning image 2025’s SuperDog of the Month competition!

His image of French Bulldog Truffle proved popular with our Photographer, Owner and Sponsor judging panels, and Trufle’s owner can look forward to receiving a £25 Pets at Home voucher and being part of the next SuperDog of the Year competition, where they could win £1000!

Richard is no stranger to success in our competition, and achieved the winning image in 2023/2024’s SuperDog of the Year competition with his image of Luna.

We caught up with Richard to learn more about his journey as a photographer: “As a seasoned professional photographer, my journey has been marked by capturing the essence of numerous high-profile individuals, including esteemed members of the Royal Family.

My previous studios, strategically located in Eton, Knightsbridge, and Harrow, laid the groundwork for my current bespoke studio, adjoined to my residence (in Maidenhead), offering convenience with ample parking. My wife Zoe and I co-manage this studio, ensuring each client receives a tailor-made, soothing experience.

Although my portfolio spans a diverse clientele, the joy of photographing families—babies, toddlers, and cherished pets—holds a special place in my craft.

The essence of my work transcends mere portrait perfection; it’s about crafting an indelible experience that families will hold dear for generations. Capturing the innocence of infancy is not only my passion but also a privilege, allowing me to immortalise pivotal moments that will be cherished for years to come.”

We had a brilliant time at Richards studio with our puppy, Sully. He was patient with Sully and new exactly how to get him into the best poses, it was lots of fun for all of us and we even did some garden shots which turned out beautiful. A geat experience friendly and professional we felt very well looked after.
